Discord integration
Connect your Discord server to Cruva, fix the empty-server / invalid-invite issue, and automate creator community updates.
For brands running a creator community on Discord.
The short answer
The Discord integration is live. You connect it from Dashboard → Connections, authorize the Cruva bot into a server you own, and Cruva can then post automated updates to your community. Most connection problems come down to being signed into the wrong Discord account (or not owning a server yet), not a broken integration.
If you previously hit "This bot can't join more servers as it has not been verified" or "Awaiting additional verification," that was a temporary Discord verification hold while the bot was being approved. It's resolved — the bot is verified and connecting normally now.
Connect Discord
1. Go to Dashboard → Connections → Integrations (/dashboard/integrations) — it's near the bottom left of the dashboard.
2. Click the Discord card → Connect.
3. You'll be sent to Discord to authorize the Cruva bot. Select the server you want it to join and approve.
4. Back in Cruva, the card shows Connected with your server name.
To disconnect later, click Disconnect on the same card.
Fixing "invalid invite" / an empty server dropdown
If the authorization screen shows no servers to add (empty dropdown) or you get an invalid-invite error, it's almost always an account/permission issue on the Discord side:
1. Sign into the correct Discord account — the one that owns or manages the server. If you're logged into a personal account with no servers, the dropdown will be empty.
2. You must own a server. If you don't have one yet, create a Discord server first, then reconnect.
3. Use the same browser you're signed into Cruva with, and refresh / sign in again to clear any leftover error from a previous attempt. (The Discord desktop app can behave differently — try the browser.)
Automated Discord updates
Once connected, Cruva can run automations against your Discord community from Community → Discord, including scheduled posts and role rules that assign roles based on creator activity. Community broadcasts (which can target Discord channels) are sent from the Creators page.
Sharing your Discord invite with creators
You can include your Discord invite in outreach and on your Brand Hub so creators can join your community.
- In invite/outreach messages: you can paste a Discord link, but links inside TikTok invite cards aren't very clickable. For better join rates, share the invite in a DM instead.
- Brand Hub: use the Brand Hub (Community) as your activation home for creators — it's built to surface community links and onboarding in one place.
Common problems
"Invalid invite when clicking the Discord link." Make sure you're signed into the Discord account that owns the server, in the same browser as Cruva. Refresh and retry.
"Bot can't join / not verified / awaiting verification." Resolved — the bot is verified. Reconnect from Connections.
"The dropdown to pick a server is empty." You're on a Discord account with no servers you manage. Log into the right account, or create a server first.
"Can I put my Discord link in TikTok invites?" Yes, but it won't be very clickable there — DM it for better conversion.
