Copilot actions & limits

How Copilot handles changes, confirmations, and the things it deliberately won't do.

Copilot is built to be trustworthy with your shop. Here's how it handles actions and what to expect at the edges.

Confirms before it changes things

  • Before Copilot sends a message, or creates, updates, deletes, approves, or rejects something, it restates what it's going to do and asks you to confirm.
  • Nothing in that group happens until you approve.

It reports only what's real

  • Copilot answers using live data from the current request and won't fill gaps with guesses. If it doesn't have something, it tells you rather than inventing a number.
  • Download buttons always match their contents — a file labeled as a filtered list contains exactly that.

One shop per conversation

  • Each chat is locked to the shop you have selected. To ask about another shop, switch shops (using the shop switcher at the top of the left sidebar) and start a new chat. Copilot can't compare two shops in one conversation.

What's out of scope

  • Copilot works with your own shop's data and actions. Competitor research in Social Intelligence (brands, products, and creators across TikTok Shop) isn't available through Copilot — use the Social Intelligence pages for that.

When data looks off

  • If your answers seem empty or stale, your TikTok Shop connection may need refreshing. Re-link it from My Shops → Reset credentials and try again.

Long conversations

  • Very long chats may be compacted, or Copilot may ask you to start a fresh conversation so it can keep answering accurately.

Feedback

  • You can thumbs-up or thumbs-down any answer. That feedback helps improve Copilot over time.
Copilot availability requires a Growth or Scale plan, and can be toggled per shop by an admin — see Meet Copilot.
