TikTok's new weekly outreach limits (October 2026)

In October 2026 TikTok Shop started moving shops to a new outreach system that splits your weekly limit by creator level and adds an effectiveness bonus. Here's how it works, how to tell which system your shop is on, and where to find it in Cruva.

For operators who noticed their outreach limits look different, or who want to know whether the new rules apply to them yet.

The short answer

In October 2026 TikTok Shop began rolling out a new way of calculating weekly outreach limits. Instead of one number for your whole shop, your limit is now split by creator level, and you can earn bonus outreach by having your invitations turn into creator posts.

TikTok is rolling the new rules out gradually to shops in every market, so for now some shops are on the new rules and others are still on the standard ones. TikTok decides when your shop moves, not Cruva.

Cruva detects which system your shop is on automatically and shows the right one at the top of Outreach → Automations and Workflows.

How to tell which system you're on

Look at the badge next to Weekly outreach limits on the Automations page:

  • Per creator level means your shop is on TikTok's new rules.
  • Shop-wide limit means your shop is still on the standard rules.

Hover the badge for a one-line explanation of each. Nothing changes in your automations when TikTok moves you over: they keep sending, and Cruva reads the new limits on its next refresh.

How the new rules work

Your weekly outreach limit is now:

Weekly outreach limit = Base limit + Effectiveness bonus, calculated separately for each group of creator levels.

Creator levels

TikTok places every creator in a level from Lv.0 to Lv.7 based on their own affiliate GMV over the past 30 days (see Creator Levels for the brackets). The new limits group these levels together. In the US the groups are:

  • Lv.0 – Lv.1 (Bronze – Silver)
  • Lv.2 (Gold)
  • Lv.3 (Platinum)
  • Lv.4 – Lv.7 (Pearl – Diamond)

Other markets group them differently. Some UK shops, for example, have just two groups (Lv.1 – Lv.5 and Lv.6 – Lv.8). Cruva shows whatever groups TikTok gives your shop.

Smaller creators are the most open: in the US, Lv.0 – Lv.1 creators are always unlimited on the new rules. The higher the level, the tighter the limit.

Base limit

The base limit for each group is set by your shop's 30-day affiliate GMV tier. For US shops it currently looks like this (unconnected creators per week):

30-day affiliate GMVLv.0 – Lv.1Lv.2Lv.3Lv.4 – Lv.7
$0Unlimited2006040
Up to $12,500Unlimited500200100
$12,500 – $25,000Unlimited2,500750500
$25,000 – $65,000Unlimited3,0001,000800
Over $65,000Unlimited7,0002,5001,500

Note that on the new rules a shop with $0 affiliate GMV can still reach some creators, unlike the standard rules where $0 GMV blocks outreach entirely.

Effectiveness bonus

On top of the base limit, TikTok adds bonus outreach to shops that rank in the top 20% of their GMV tier for outreach effectiveness. Effectiveness is how many of your invitations turn into creator posts over the past 14 days.

  • Your standing is checked every Sunday at 12 PM (GMT-7), and the bonus applies to the following week.
  • In higher tiers the bonus can upgrade a level to unlimited.
  • If you miss the top 20%, the bonus is simply locked for that week. Your base limit is unaffected.

The most reliable way to raise your effectiveness is to focus outreach on creators who are a good fit for your products, so more of your invitations turn into videos.

What hasn't changed

  • Only outreach to creators you haven't connected with yet counts. Creators who have messaged you, replied to a message or invitation, or added your products to their showcase or videos don't count.
  • Sending both an invitation and a follow-up message to the same unconnected creator in the same week still uses one spot.
  • Limits still reset every Sunday at 12 PM (GMT-7), and unused outreach doesn't carry over.

How the standard (shop-wide) rules work

Shops that haven't moved over keep a single weekly limit for the whole shop, also based on 30-day affiliate GMV tier. Lower tiers can also cap the follower count of creators you can contact. For US shops:

30-day affiliate GMVUnconnected creators / weekCreator follower cap
$00–
Up to $2,0002,000Up to 20,000 followers
$2,000 – $50,0007,000Unlimited
Over $50,000UnlimitedUnlimited

The UK, EU and Japan have their own tiers in local currency. Cruva shows your market's table in More info.

Where to find it in Cruva

Go to Outreach → Automations (the same card also appears at the top of Workflows).

Shops on the new rules

The Weekly outreach limits card shows one tile per creator-level group, each tinted in that level's colour. Every tile shows how many of those creators you can still reach this week (for example 137 / 500 left), or Unlimited, plus any bonus for that group with a lock or unlock icon. Hover a tile to see exactly which creators that level covers.

Under the tiles you'll see your 30-day affiliate GMV and tier, the GMV needed for the next tier, when the limits reset, and your effectiveness standing (for example "You're in the top 37% of your tier… Reach the top 20% to unlock bonus outreach next week").

Shops on the standard rules

The card shows three tiles: Outreach this week (Unlimited, or how many you have left with a progress bar), your 30-day affiliate GMV and tier, and the next reset. If your tier has a follower cap, it's listed underneath.

More info

Click More info on the card for the full breakdown, so you don't need to open TikTok Shop:

  • Your GMV, next reset and standing at a glance.
  • The full tier tables for your shop, with Your tier this week highlighted. On the standard rules there's also a line telling you what GMV moves you up a tier, or what drop would move you down.
  • On the new rules, the base and bonus tables side by side.
  • A short FAQ, and a link to TikTok's own page if you want to compare.

While building an automation

At the top of the creator step (creator search, list, or CRM group), Cruva shows a one-line reminder of what you can actually send this week, for example how many Lv.2 or Lv.3 creators you have left. If TikTok caps follower counts for your shop, it offers to set your max followers filter to that cap so the automation doesn't queue creators it can't message. The reminder hides itself when nothing limits your shop.

Common questions

"My shop moved to the new rules and some automations slowed down." Check which levels your automation targets. If it mostly reaches Lv.2+ creators, those groups have their own caps now. Hover the tiles to see which creators each level covers, and consider widening your audience to Lv.0 – Lv.1 creators, which are unlimited in the US.

"Can I choose which system my shop is on?" No. TikTok assigns it, and Cruva just reads it.

"My tile says Unlimited for every level." Your shop is exempt from weekly limits this week. The tier tables in More info are shown for reference only.

"My effectiveness says top 100%." That usually means TikTok hasn't measured enough of your recent invitations yet, or very few have turned into posts. It updates every Sunday.

"The numbers differ from TikTok Shop." Cruva refreshes your limits from TikTok when you open the page, and falls back to the last values it saw if TikTok doesn't respond (for example when the shop needs reconnecting). If they look stale, reload the page, and check the shop's connection under My Shops.
