How Social Intelligence Data Works
Why doesn't the GMV quite line up?
Our Social Intelligence data is populated using public-facing TikTok Shop product links, brands, and creators. GMV figures are built on daily observation and estimation models, which are usually accurate within about 30% (+/-), though this can deviate depending on a brand's affiliate strategy.
It is intended for market and competitor research as well as creator poaching, but it isn't meant to be read as 100% accurate. For fully accurate data, use the rest of the platform, such as the dashboard, affiliate CRM, and content tools.
One thing to note: our algorithms prioritize higher-performing creators who post shoppable videos, which is why you may see an under-reported video count or GMV that sometimes doesn't quite line up.
Your Data and Privacy
Even though we hold your data within the platform, we DO NOT use it to enrich Social Intelligence in any way, in order to respect data privacy.
This part of the platform is built entirely by observing millions of public links per day and applying our estimation models.
