Signing contracts and finding your copies
How creators sign a brand's contract from a link, a message, or a Join popup, where signed copies are kept, and how notice of termination works.
Brands can ask creators to e-sign a contract in the creator app. This page covers the creator's side. For how brands create and send contracts, see Creator Contracts.
Where a contract shows up
- A signing link the brand shared, which opens a page with the brand's branding, the contract title, and a Read and sign button.
- A card in Messages, labeled Contract to sign, in the creator's direct messages with the brand. It shows Waiting for your signature until they sign. Tap Review and sign to open it.
- The Join popup of a campaign, the brand's community, or a Meta program, when the brand made the contract its terms. Join stays unavailable until the contract is signed (Sign the contract to join).
Signing requires being signed in to Cruva Creators, so the signature is tied to the right account. The signing page shows which account is signed in, with Switch account if it's the wrong one.
Signing
- Tap Read and sign and go through the pages. Boxes to fill are highlighted, and a counter shows how many required boxes are left.
- Fill each box. For a Signature or Initials box, type it (Cruva turns it into a signature) or switch to Draw. It's saved to the account, so after the first time one tap fills it. Change signature replaces it. Date signed boxes fill themselves.
- Type the full legal name, tick the box agreeing to sign electronically, and tap Sign and agree.
Cruva emails a copy of the signed PDF, with a Signature page added at the end that records the signing details.
A creator signs each contract once. If they open the link again, they see their signed copy instead. Signing a contract from its link also counts when they later join something that uses the same contract as its terms, so they won't be asked to sign it twice.
Finding signed copies
Signed contracts are kept under My contracts: Settings → My contracts on the website, or Profile → My contracts in the mobile app. Each copy shows the brand and the signing date, with Download PDF, the signed pages, and the signing record. The signing record lists the name typed, the account, when they agreed and signed, where they signed from, the IP address and device, and the document fingerprints.
A signed copy stays available even if the brand later voids the contract.
Termination and notice
A contract's signing page shows its termination terms, if it has any:
- Notice: "Either party can end this agreement with N days of notice." The creator can tap Give notice on their signed copy. Cruva shows the end date before they confirm, and the brand is told in their messages. If the brand gives notice, the creator sees it in Messages and on the copy. Either side can Withdraw notice before the end date.
- Ends with the campaign: the agreement ends when the campaign ends or the creator leaves it. There's nothing to do. The copy shows it as Terminated once it ends.
A copy can show Ends {date} or Terminated. Termination only changes the contract's status. It doesn't by itself remove anyone from a campaign or change a payment, so check the campaign page for those.
Common questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| "This contract was voided" | The brand stopped taking signatures on that contract. Ask them for the current one. |
| "This contract changed" | The brand updated the contract while it was open. Review it again before signing. |
| "Contract not found" | The link no longer points to a contract. Ask the brand for a new link. |
| The name can't be printed | Some characters can't be printed on the contract. Try another spelling of the name. |
| No email copy arrived | Check spam, then download the copy from My contracts. |
| A brand asked for another signature | It's a different contract (often a new version). Each contract is signed separately. |
