What Cruva imports when you connect your shop
How far back Cruva's first sync reaches for GMV, creators, sample requests, videos, LIVEs, carousels, affiliate orders, products and ads, how much it pulls, and what keeps updating after that.
For brands and agencies who just linked a TikTok Shop, or anyone wondering why a chart or table only goes back so far.
The short version
When you link a shop, Cruva runs a one-time backfill: it reaches back into your TikTok Shop history and imports as much as TikTok lets it, so you're not starting from an empty dashboard. How far back it goes depends on the kind of data. Shop GMV goes back about two years, videos and carousels about a year, LIVEs about six months, and affiliate orders about three months.
After the backfill, Cruva syncs every few hours and keeps everything it collects. Nothing gets trimmed as it ages, so your history in Cruva grows from the day you linked. The backfill limits only decide how far back you can see before that day.
A large shop's first sync can take a few hours, and some pieces fill in over the first couple of syncs. If My Affiliates or the dashboard is still empty right after linking, give it time.
How far back each kind of data goes
These are the limits for the first sync. "Newest" means the most recent records by date, so on a very busy shop the oldest end of a window may be cut off by the count limit before the time limit is reached.
Shop performance (the dashboard's GMV charts)
- Affiliate GMV (including video and LIVE GMV), day by day: about 2 years (720 days).
- Total shop GMV, day by day: about 1 year (360 days).
- Subscribe & Save stats, day by day: about 2 years (720 days).
Creators (My Affiliates)
- The 5,000 creators you worked with most recently, from TikTok's Affiliate Center creator list.
- GMV, commission, units sold and video / LIVE counts for up to your 100,000 top creators by GMV, using the lifetime totals TikTok reports.
- Every creator with a sample request, even if they're not in either list above.
Sample Requests
- The newest 10,000 requests in each status, across To Review, Ready to Ship, Shipped, Content Pending, Posted and the closed statuses (Canceled, Rejected, Expired, Overdue). Most shops have far fewer than that in total. A shop with a long history usually ends up with tens of thousands.
- TikTok doesn't share when an old request was approved, shipped or delivered, so those dates are estimated for requests imported by the backfill. Requests that come in after you link are tracked step by step.
Refundable Samples
- The newest 10,000 in each status (Ready to Ship, Shipped, Content Pending, Refunded, Not Refunded, Canceled).
Videos
- Every affiliate video posted in the last year (365 days), up to about 300,000 videos.
- Your top-earning videos from the past year are always included, even on a shop that posts so much that the newest 300,000 don't reach back a full year.
- Daily stats for each video (views, GMV and so on day by day): the last 160 days. Your own accounts' video sales (Linked Account Video GMV) also go back 160 days.
Carousels (photo posts)
- Every carousel posted in the last year, up to 100,000.
- Daily stats for each carousel: the last 90 days.
LIVEs
- LIVEs from the last 6 months (180 days): up to 5,000 creator LIVEs and 5,000 from your own accounts, plus your top-earning LIVEs.
- Per-LIVE product sales: the last 120 days.
Affiliate Orders
- Every affiliate order created in the last 90 days, regular and partner (agency) campaign orders alike. There's no count limit, so a large shop can bring in a few hundred thousand orders.
- Orders are what Organic GMV and Ads GMV are built from, so anything older than those 90 days shows -- for the split. See Affiliate orders and the Organic vs Ads split.
Products and SKUs
- Your product catalogue: up to 500 products per sort order (newest and best-selling), refreshed on every sync.
- Daily product stats: the last 120 days. Daily Subscribe & Save stats per product: the last 180 days.
- Daily SKU stats: the last 60 days.
- Daily stats per creator: the last 120 days.
TikTok Ads (only if you've connected TikTok Ads)
- GMV Max campaign stats, day by day: the last 24 months.
- Daily stats for each ad creative: about the last 6 months.
What happens after the first sync
Every sync after the backfill only re-reads recent data, then adds it to what's already stored:
- Shop GMV is re-read for the last 180 days, so late changes from TikTok are picked up.
- Daily stats for videos, carousels, products, SKUs and creators re-read the last few days, because TikTok's numbers take up to a day to settle.
- Sample Requests that are still open (To Review through Content Pending) are re-read every sync, so their status stays current. Closed ones only pick up the newest few hundred per status.
- Videos pick up everything posted in the last two weeks, plus your top earners from the past year so their totals keep moving.
- Affiliate orders pick up every new order from the last 3 days, and once a day Cruva rechecks orders from the last 30 days that hadn't settled yet.
For how often syncs run and why numbers can briefly differ from Seller Center, see Data Discrepancies and why numbers differ from TikTok.
Common questions
Why does my chart stop at a certain date? That's where the backfill for that kind of data started. For example, the Organic / Ads split stops about 90 days before you linked, and per-video daily stats stop about 160 days before you linked. Everything from linking day onward is complete.
Does Cruva delete old data? No. Once something is imported it stays. The limits above only cap how far back the first sync reaches.
Can Cruva import more history than this? No. The windows are the same for every shop and are set by how far back TikTok lets Cruva read.
Why don't my sample request counts match my all-time total in Seller Center? The backfill takes the newest 10,000 requests in each status. If a shop has more than that in one status, the oldest ones aren't imported. Shipped, delivered and approved dates on backfilled requests are also estimated.
Why is my creator's GMV in Cruva higher than what their videos add up to? Creator GMV comes from TikTok's lifetime totals for that creator, but Cruva only imports their videos from the last year. Older videos aren't in the Videos list, but the sales they made still count toward the creator's total.
I linked my shop an hour ago and some tabs are still empty. The first sync on a big shop can take a few hours, and some data (daily stats, affiliate orders) arrives over the first couple of syncs. If a tab is still empty after a day, check that the shop shows Linked on My Shops. See Connect your TikTok Shop.
